The only thing I see the same, is the traffic, and lack of driving skills.

I welcome anyone who wants to come here, but trans-cons commutes, and moving to S. FL because it sounds like LA, is nothing but a pipe dream.

Also considering almost all the airplanes are going to MIA, I can bet that MIA will be the bulk of the upcoming new hire classes.

Agreed about the Wx... Having previously lived in South FL for six years, and spending a lot of time in SoCal the past couple years, I'm thinking "shfo" has not spent much time in either LAX or MIA! ;). Seriously, the only thing they have in common is it doesn't snow in either place. Aside from that, they are very different. I'd say DFW is far more like MIA.

Who cares? The only question anybody should be asking themselves is when is AMERICAN AIRLINES going to hire! People, we're going nowhere in this business when the only growth is coming from the bottom.

I agree For the longest time so many people talked about American hiring due to retirements. Looks like management fixed that problem.

there is a no hiring at AA. There will be an increased transfer to new feeders from AA and increased codeshare from cities other than hubs from AA. AA will be decreased in size and coverage by mainline domestically.

People pay attention. This statement is the future. The well paying jobs will be lost to RJs and people willing to do the same job while living in their parent's basement. Thank god for that shortage I keep hearing about!

Sad to see it's still the same old Eagle with the same old guys telling you to stick it out. Look, it's not going to get better. It never has and it never will.

There's two types of people in the world. The ones who make things happen and the ones who have things happen to them. The choice is yours.

With the current situation of bankruptcy at AA, and the fact that AA has specifically said they want more outsourcing of their flying.. (IE: more regional flying) plus the very realy possibility of a merger with USAir, where it has been said that although fewer jobs lost there will be job losses. I can't see a situation where AA starts hiring anytime soon...

Yeah, someone posted a news article where AA managment was qouted as saying the wanted to "increase outsourcing" (or something very, very close that qoute).

Kinda like Punk'd...The fruits of your labor have been Outsource'd

they should outsource AMR management to the lowest bidder. The results will be the same except the corporation will make millions in savings from managemnt outsourcing.
