I heard someone got run over by a lav truck.
|
Kinda like in Philly where I watch thugged-out city employees scan a badge and walk through the bowels of the building right onto the ramp, carrying backpacks and whatever they want. I see this as I make my way up the escalator to go get anal probed by the smurfs in order to get the privilege of flying the damn planes. Totally makes sense!!

I was there a few hours after the incident and was 100 feet away from the accident site. A ramper said he was filling the aft pot water of a 700. The dude left the truck in reverse and it pinned him...or crushed him between the plane and the truck. The ramper said he crushed his head. He said there was blood everywhere. What I saw was a 700 with the aft pot water panel open, a water truck next to it, police cars surrounding the site, and police tape enclosing the accident site while investigators where poking around.
A murder I think is a bit overboard but anything is possible I guess. |
Regardless of what happened, it's sad. We can all use this as a reminder to better watch out for ourselves and our coworkers. As an ex-ramper, I spend more time on my walk-arounds not getting run over than anything else.
Be safe out there. |

Apparently you missed the part where he said no convictions. I agree. Lga is scary. Tsa/rampers make crips/bloods look like church league softball. Luckily we got the crack squad of aviation safeguards to keep the peace

NW ramp in BOS had a lot of mob ties years ago. One of the rampers ratted them out. They found the guy's body out near one of those Quonset hut buildings by the airport no long after...
Not certain what all this has to do with a legitimate work accident though. |
