Default Old Mesaba?

Lakeshore Express

I wonder if this is an old XJ Saab and how long before they fly as a new DCI?

I know Colgan ended up leasing most (maybe all?) of the former Chicago Express Saabs. I wonder if Lakeshore Express has any of those planes. It'd be kind of neat to see them flying out of Midway again.

Reading through their FAQs it looks like this will be a 135 charter flown by Pentastar Aviation. This was also in their FAQs:

Are your pilots certified?
Pentastar Aviation Charter, Inc. pilots are professionally trained and certificated in accordance with all FAA regulations and requirements. Training is conducted 2 times a year and the pilots are given rigorous evaluations at the end of the training sessions.

It's good to know that I'm being flown by pilots that are actually certified. What a bonus!

I heard it was the original aircraft the Wright Brothers built before they decided to tweak it into to the more modern Wright Flyer.

And it flew like a Wright flyer predecessor should... Like a pile of poop... I've never had an aircraft give me as many problems as 9CJ did. Good riddance and good luck to whoever is flying it now.

That may be all well and good....but 9CJ isn't an A-model Saab. Nevertheless, it was (is) a giant pile of crap.

Don't bad mouth the old girls too much. I mean, what kind of shape do you think you'll be in when you have 50,000 cycles?
