Default Skywest group interview @ PHX 12/6

Anyone from here planning to attend?

I am thinking about it, but my concern is that I wouldn't be able to interview in SLC before Jan 10 (IF I get called for the real interview). I will be gone and unreachable for the month after the group interview (12/10-01/10).
I figured I'll tell them at the group event and write BIG on my resume "Available after Jan 10".

Do you guys think its a good idea to attend anyway, or should I wait and attend the first one in January? I'm just wondering if they'll take the "not available till..." as a sign I'm not interested in the job/company??

I plan to attend. I hope my passport arrives in time. Should I complete the online application before going? The website says to complete the online app at the top of the page and at the bottom in the fine print it says not to fill one out. Not sure what to do?

How long after a group interview can you expect a "real" interview? (if selected)

They are very understanding about stuff like this. I wouldn't make a big deal of it (don't put it on your resume). Go to the group interview, and if they offer you a SLC interview, just tell them about your situation. They will just schedule you for something in January.

I doubt it. They still have plenty of folks from other airlines coming in (they have turned a few away even).

A few days to a month or so I think.

Come 100% prepared to the group interview, if time permits they will knock out as much of the real interview as they can (except the sim of course).

I attended a group interview at the end of October. When I was there they did check to see if I met the minimums. I was actually just short of the instument mins. but met the others, plus I was already SIC rated in the CRJ. Since I didn't meet mins. he was going to give me the interview coordinator's card and said I should call her to set up an interview when I got the mins. Well, we got to talking for a couple of minutes and he then decided to rearrange somethings and I magically had the mins. I was then told I would get a call within 1-5 days to set up an interview. Sweeeettt....

On the 5th day, I got an email. I set up my interview for 1 week after that, went to the interview and recieved the good news 4 days after that via Fedex. My class is now two weeks away. Overall the process took about 5 weeks from group interview to class date.

I don't think the online application matters for the group interview, but I had it done anyways. However, you do need it for the actual interview in SLC.

Overall, I would go to the group interview even if you don't meet the minimums (but are really close!) because I think it shows dedication. Even if I didn't get the interview, I was going to get a business card and told to call when I had the mins. (This was only about 8 hours of time)

Hope this helps.
