It is a done deal
|
ALPA proves to be completely useless, yet again. |
High fives all around!
|
So are those six aircraft being reinstated to Republic? I see the article references 47 vs 53 aircraft. Are those six aircraft just up for grabs by anyone? I know, lots of questions.
|
They won't be able to staff them anyway. Just like F9, this will blow up in BB's face.
|
The other 6 aircraft were Air Canada birds that Air Canada couldnt get ready in a good enough time frame for AMR. Those planes are from what I understand, off the table. Here's my flamebait prediction since RAH is buying them without help from a major....Chpt 11 within two years of getting a new contract (if that ever happens)...then whipsaw concessions...rinse...repeat!

Well I guess Republic better get their butts in gear if they plan on even having a chance to staff half of the aircraft coming in.

Was there ever any real doubt this was gonna happen....

No, I'm not bitter about that. But I am tired of BB getting away with treating his pilot group like crap year after year. It's clear that he continues to use the RLA to avoid paying his pilot's a livable wage, and it's crap. The RAH pilots deserve better.

They will not have a problem staffing the 47. Take a look at the Pinnacle RJ agreement with Bombardier, this one will mirror that structure (aka lease exchange/displacements).

they'll just displace from DEN as the F9 ops wind down, staffing solved, move along

This is what will happen. The aircraft orders will come in. Republic will staff them. Crews will complain about how they're being abused and they're not staffed accordingly. Crews will swap stories about make-believe mass cancellations and chaos due to staffing issues. Republic will make money hand-over-fist. The end.

What are EV AMR ops? Seriously, I don't know. I want nothing bad for any company. We're all pawns in this game. I was responding to johnso's post regarding how bad our ops will go. It's obvious that the former XJT guy still has issues with RAH guys over CHQ getting CAL flying in Houston back in the day.

The original poster in reference to the ExpressJet branded operation compared it to the probable failure to the massive growth RAH is attempting. All on the backs of over worked and underpaid pilots with the worst contract in the industry. Yet for some reason pilots still choose to seek employment there.... |

Fly the book and the contract and show zero remorse. They need to take a lesson from what the legacy ASA pilots did |

It's because the RAH pilots have no balls. They need to do something to demonstrate that they are worth while. Providing great on time performance and a good completion factor will not help them and will keep them in negotiations for another 5-10 years.

I am lost but what does a c402 have to do with a jet? Are you saying that after flying that around for a while, you will take the first job that is offered?
Go fly around a 30,000hr 402 airframe for a few years then we'll see how "starry eyed" you are upgrading to an E175. |

Nope I didn't say that at all, you made those deductions all on your own. You sound pretty silly for poking fun at people that are impressed by an aircraft and their desire to fly it.

Thats your opinion, so don't speak for the rest of the people on here. Who are you to tell others what to base their decisions on? You're assuming you know the pay and QOL for everyone on here and you dont have a clue. For all you know flying for Republic could be someones first job or even a pay raise. If you dont want to fly at Republic or fly a piece of equipment thats your prerogative not everyone else's so keep your judgemental garbage to yourself
