Oh, and nobody at ASA or ExpressJet are claiming their airline flew interstate routes prior to deregulation. So I don't see what your argument is.

bash away!

Bash away? Why post something that you think people will bash you for? How about you ask a question politely first?

To answer your question, I'm sure the OP states "legacy" because that's how our companies, and unions differentiate between the two parts of the company in memos to us. Although we now share a name we haven't integrated our contracts or our seniority list yet so it comes up often.

I can assure you it's not to make ourselves sound like we are legacy major airline pilots or make us sound more important.

Im not understanding where the argument for dual qual has come from. During negotiations i was constantly asking my rep if it had come up and he said it had not even been mentioned, from either party. I have not seen any proof that this is something the company is seeking.

I suggest you work on your own spelling, grammar, & sentence structure before taking issue with industry-standard terminology.

My, you're awfully defensive. I just thought it was hypocritical for the guy to criticize word choice while demonstrating poor word choice.
