LXJT 70+ seat arbitration award

$2. Yup, a whopping $2 override for all aircraft with 51-90 seats. Oh, and mandatory PBS bidding for said aircraft as well.

....and the race continues.

So, there's a small squad of guys on the L-ASA side who have cush jobs running your pref-bidding on full ALPA paid trip loss. They have declared their lifestyles more important than the lives of 4000+ fellow pilots, and hold up the merger process like a bunch of selfish children. They are responsible for this.

They are like the Russian sub commander in The Hunt For Red October, blowing themselves up with their own torpedo. Thanks guys. Enjoy your fat time at home building those complex schedules with Flightline. So if we got that system at the fully merged company, you're telling me we would need almost 30 f-ing guys on full ALPA trip loss to run your system every month? L-XJT has 4 or 5 part timers. You guys are a disgrace. Shame.

REALLY!? So the ASA MEC is to blame for this ruling?!?! Your own group must have agreed for this to be implemented. In case you forget, we are still separate. Put the blame where it is due!

The L-ASA MEC may have not budged on certain issues but "blaming" them for these rates has little merit........... I think the XJT side saw an opportunity and know damn well without larger A/C the ERJ side would be cut in half in due time. They saw an opportunity and took advantage. It pretty much guarantees larger A/C will go to the "erj" side. At least they are winning the race to the bottom. :) I kid when I say that, I stil think the rates are higher than the majority of large RJ rates.........

No, we didn't have a say or a vote. That's why it's called ARBITRATION.

Management needed to get 70 seat rates from us one way or the other, so they exercised an option in our current contract. It was a brilliant move on their part, and it screws us all over.

No, but the arbitration took place because we don't have a single contract yet. Of course they're not directly responsible but please, use a little common sense man.

Bigshooter107 03-20-2013 04:33 AM

supersix-4 03-20-2013 04:56 AM

3 people on FPL, two of which fly half of every month and the other guy fly about 1/3 of every month. And their FPL paid for by the company. What exactly is the problem and why do you care?

Speaking of Russian sub commanders, what are your thoughts on the section of YOUR contract that requires new aircraft rates go to expedited arbitration AND doesn't exclude looking at bankrupt carriers. D'oh!

Oh, and the PBS committee's FPL is paid by the company, not ALPA. D'oh!
