People on here really struggle with the concept of sarcasm.

Maybe RGS should have a T/F module on the intricacies of sarcastic thought for pilots.

Sarcasm aside lots of pilots need a reality check.

Exactly, today pilots are nothing more than commodities, in the eyes of management. Skill, being a quality person has nothing to do with advancement in the seniority based system we have.

Delta management just looks for the cheapest group to fly their RJ's (assuming the same level of safety, which can/may be argued), just as they shop around for better fuel prices. If they can have move control over the group, as they now do over Pinnacle the better for them. Very similar to the purchase of the refinery, it allows them to better control their costs because they are running the show.

So therefore your statements are incorrect.
Nonsense. The CRJ has a sissy yoke whereas the Airbus has a sidestick, putting it on a higher pedestal next to the likes of F16 and the fly by wire system. It also depends which RJ you are coming off from. I went from a 50 seater RJ to a 149 seat Airbus, so my skills increased 3 times over as a better pilot. However, if one goes from a 76 seater CRJ-900 to the A320, his skills will increase 2 times. Reference the linear chart, it will make sense then.

Oh no hickey you couldn't afford my going rates for mentoring.

Okay, three times better... but three times zero is still zero.

No. Flying a 50 seater gives a skill unit of 1. Not zero. Then you can do the math.

That's original. Most people end up calling me an ass.

Neither of these prove "higher pilot skills" although I would favor the F16 pilot.

Modern airplanes and navaid technology do not develop "seat of the pants" pilot skills. After pilot training (T-37 / T-38) and C-141 flying I was an excellent " by the book " pilot. It wasn't until I flew UC-123s cross controlled up and down mountain sides in Vietnam (spraying at 100 feet ) that I really learned to fly airplanes.

FYI The Air Force Academy tracks graduate UPT/SUPT performance. The top performers are Cadet CFIGs from the academy soaring program.
