Did the CAL CA or the DAL CA go to work for SAS?

That's one way to reduce the RJ count.

I don't understand the use of "legacy" with regard to Expressjet. Is there another Expressjet somewhere, or is another call sign being used since being acquired? I'm not trying to make fun of the situation, just trying to understand it. I never hear Shuttle guys who were there when acquired by Republic referring to Shuttle as L-Shuttle, or Frontier now referring to themselves as L-Frontier. Doesn't make any sense...

Some folks cannot differentiate between the terms "Airline", "Company", "Certificate", etc as opposed to "ALPA pilot contract" or "crew group".
There is 1 ExpressJet, there is no ASA. If just happens to have 2 seperate aircraft fleets & crew groups with seperate work rules.

But that's not the topic of this thread. Glad to hear everyone was okay with this little bump on the ground.

When I hear "Legacy ExpressJet," I get a mental image of rainbows and frolicking unicorns. Is that what it's like over there?

Rainbows yes, frolicking no, unicorns yes; more like horses with orange cones on their heads battling it out for who goes first
