Maybe some new hires that just went through training on chautauqua certificate can answer.

I spoke with someone about interviewing later in the summer. I want SDF as a base and was told that it shouldnt be a problem and would know at the interview.

Hopefully that wont be a problem for you and you will get a base tha you want.

I would interview and see what they say. You dont have anything to lose, right?

Good luck!

You may not get your 1st choice out of training, but you shouldnt have a problem getting the base you want within a month or 2. They've been rotating where they're putting new hires, so there should be a healthy amount of guys wanting to swap at the very least.

CMH is an awesome place to live, cheap cost of living. You can get a 2,000 sq foot home for $80k.

LMAO at the people who became pilots and thought they would never have to move to pursue a flying career.

sweet, thanks for the info! SDF or IND would be the two places I would have my fingers crossed for!

Thanks!

....Indy will still be tough. You shouldnt have a problem getting into SDF though. Enjoy those 430 am shows!

As far as bases go, I'd figure CHQ would be the most likely cert to change them. Those 50 seaters will be replaced sooner rather than later. I know they signed a deal with Delta (somehow, even with Delta leading charge to eliminate them) for 3 years for some of their 145s. But it's a matter of time before they have to get new planes and as many people have said CHQ might just be absorbed into Shuttle or Republic completely.

Not that I WANT any of that to happen. I'm also hopeful to get a SDF base out of training or quickly after. But I won't be interviewing for about 2 more months and so many things can change. Always hope that a new contract is signed by then too.

(Side Note: Hey Jeff, I know you said in other Republic thread you wanted SDF as well. But didn't you post in the TSA thread you were talking to HR? Not trying to be too nosey, just wondering what the options were over there compared to CHQ)

Well, we just bought a house in Louisville and will be moving there. TSA is good for me since STL and IAD would be an easy commute. CHQ would be best since it is local, but IAD would also work for a commute.

Needless to say, I will have a lot of questions for my interviews. lol

RAHCONTRACTNOW.com
Careful. It's rahcontractnow.org, not .com.

Company bought the .com domain. Big difference.

Hell. That's the only base you will get for any of the RAH certificates. Seriously, how friggin hard is it for people to understand. Don't come work here, it sucks. Yes, CFI'ing is better than this place. Stay away!!!!!

Care to embellish why it sucks working there so much? Some of us actually have a life and don't sit on APC all day and read posts.
