Default 1500 bucks for ATP interview prep!?!?!!?

I just clicked on the add at the top of the page for ATP's Republic Interview Prep. Its 1 day and it costs 1500 dollars! Ridiculous. I hope nobody pays for this. If so, you're an idiot. If they are offering a sign on bonus, they will hire you as long as you have a pulse.

All you get is some ground instruction, a mock interview and some time in an FTD. All for 1500 dollars. What a deal!

Rant over.

I have heard the sim operator for this CRJ sim does everything but push and pull the yoke for you, actually flies left seat for you, so it is not a very difficult sim to fly. I would discourage paying even a few hundred bucks for preparation towards flying this particular sim the way they are currently running it. It is not as hard as a Frasca to fly, not even close, and has much better instrumentation including a Collins glass panel. The operator either directly handles power settings for you or advises what N1 to use, flap deployment, etc. They also program the FMS. All that's left is to fly the FD which seems hardly putting someone through a sim ride to find out they can do, but it is what they allegedly do there. I suspect the sim ride is more for show than for actual grading and some other criteria count far more, such as the written exam they make you take, pilot logbooks, professional history, etc. If you want to prepare read the online gouges available at AviationInterviews and other sites, get your written knowledge up to par, and put all your paperwork and logbooks in order.

Oh so it's gonna be like that?

I'll go $999.99 and throw in the FeelThere E170 for FSX for free.

T-shirts and lanyards are available for 1199.99.
