Default CLT Commuter Parking

I was looking for some current info on the parking situation for commuters out of CLT. I noticed it looked like something was in the works 3 years ago but no update since 2011. If the airport is still not budging on commuters, anyone know of any good parking around the airport or is the $5 economy parking the best deal?

Currently using the Park and go facility. Wondering if any of the hotels on Little Rock rd offer commuter parking.

If you have a truck or a not so low car you can hop the curb into the employee lot.

I "know" a guy who did this for a year, with no issues.
