Is PSA doing a lot of hiring right now? I sent my stuff in a while ago and never heard anything. Thinking of sending it in again. Email still the best way?

Why do you want to fly for PSA?
I just quit PSA to fly for Eagle. Morale is rock bottom. Schedules are horrendous. They treat you like dirt. Upgrades are non-existant. Unless you have to be based in CLT, I can't see any reason to go. Just so no one thinks I've got nothing good to say about PSA, pay is ok for 1st year FO. (72 hours/mo and per diem 24hr/day in training.) The planes are good. The crews are great. But there are far better places to start your career. |

Let us know how that works out for ya in 10 years to upgrade, if they don't sell ya off or furlough. |

HA...my roommate left eagle (and came to PSA) for the same reasons you left PSA. Strange world we fly in. |
I am beginning to think there is no such thing as a good regional airline
|
The great thing about PSA is their bases - you can actually afford to buy a home in domicile as a second year FO. If you buy in CLT, and do some research, you'll probably make $30k-$50k in 1-2 years as the homes appreciate in value due to all the snowbirds moving down from the NE. If my significant other could find a job in CLT, we'd move there in a heartbeat. It would be a fairly easy commute for me.

I can honestly say that even with a name change from Jetstream to PSA it was and probably still is a ****ty place to work. Unfortnately I left one s$&t hole for another.

I haven't heard anything about PSA. They are very low-key. You have any info on them?

Sorry, I do not work for them. I think the PSA Chief pilot posts on here every now and then.
In fact, my mom moved up there as well. -LAFF |

Who do you work for? You mentioned wanting to move to CLT. I recommend it. My family has been there for 1.5 years and they don't plan on leaving.

I don't get going to Eagle. With their upgrade times, it seems to me you're practically guaranteeing yourself almost a decade of regional flying before you can move to the majors.
Had I been as tied to CLT as I am to BOS, I certainly would have stayed at PSA to see what happens. Parker has said that if the US-DL merger goes through he will cut 10% capacity, and he forsees no reduction in mainline flying. That sounds like bad news for #1 COMAIR, #2ASA, and #3 PSA, in that order. |
