Some of the posts are correct. If Mesa/Go leaves Mokulele is on its own. However; if you do choose either one both have a STRICT contract. If you break it you better be ready to write out a check.
The thing with flying in Hawaii is that these two carriers do depend on tourists. Go! is the feeder carrier to Mokulele if they pull out where will Mokulele gets its pax? I suppose they can survive a little while being that they also operate air tours.
Either way, if you get desperate go to ameriflight and build some multi time why fly sinlge engine turbine if you already have time in bigger things. I used to fly C208 but have since moved on. The time isnt that great on a resume, I've learned multi time is little more respectable. Just my .02

No you haven't! stop all the lies!

As for the pilot saying he ws near IFR mins with 670tt your about 5+ months away from mins if you fly 100hrs a month. Remember 135 IFR mins are 1200tt, 500xc, 100 night. I do think Georgia skies is real strict about this however; their SIC's mins are much lower... Happy hunting.

so, i work at pacific wings right now. i was here when said pilot called the cops to escort him out. and shaunster i don't know if you're sticking up for the same person i'm thinking about, but if so, XXXX was a little piece of sh*t and deserved to be fired. first the sexual harrassment charges he had from one of the other agents, and the fact that he continously disobeyed orders from the dom and cp. that dude sucks. end of story.

bandaids 11-17-2008 01:32 PM

and also, he wasn't fired.

he gave his two weeks & ended up quitting before his two weeks were up.
stop lying and get your facts straight.

what a small world, XXXX was actually a student of mine for a brief period of time before he became an instructor and moved to pacific wings. I didn't know he was fired.

bandaids 11-17-2008 01:47 PM

XXXX wasn't fired. he should have been, but he gave his two weeks notice and ended up quitting before his two weeks were up. he didn't need the police escort at all. the director of ops drove him to collect his personal things (we don't have lockers here) and when he got out of the car he called the cops and said he felt unsafe. nothing was said or done to make him feel unsafe though.

Heard a rumor that Pac Wings was looking to start an AZ operation...any truth to that?

Riverside 11-17-2008 04:15 PM

They have New Mexico, so I don't see why they would start another operations there. Hey they started Georgia, so I wouldn't be surprised.

arizonastpilot 11-17-2008 04:25 PM

Yea its true, I heard they are gonna be using 787's on those routes j/k. It would be awesome if it is true, probably fly out of IWA.

skatergeek 11-17-2008 05:03 PM

Wow, a 787 huh...would they still require 1200TT for PIC? JK..
