You are drinking the Richard Anderson CoolAid. If it was up to management all flying would be done by regionals.

Not all of the 50 seaters are being replaced by the 717, people need to remember the 70 76 seat RJs that are coming online as the 717 are introduced and the CRJ-200 go on vacation.

Ha, if it was up to management, all the flying would be done by the chinese. Even the regionals can't compete with $1/week sweatshop pilots!

Which is why management constantly asks for scope relief on B777s.

There's no need to attack a specific ethnicity here!

How does your statement in anyway change what is replacing the 50 seater's capacity as they are being parked?

Indeed, because they have their flight training + room and board paid for, and they make more than the average American SWEATSHOP regional pilot.

Do you know what's the salary level for the locals in China? First of all, the Chinese can't do all the flying that is coming to them with the amount of A/C's on order they have, places like Russia for example, the salary levels for airline pilots have gone up 400% in the past decade alone, the salaries for the Chinese pilots have also tripled with housing, school, company cars and taxes paid for them, it is not the 1980's anymore, there are no sweatshop pilots in Asia anymore:rolleyes: better inform yourself about what's happening in the global market, the pilots flying ATR's in Vietnam are making better wages than your average RJ driver in the US.....!
