Pilot shortage begins Nov 1, 2013
The (regional) pilot shortage is finally here folks. FAPA is paying pilots to attend their job fair.
FAPA.aero | Pilot Job Fairs FAPA.aero will be PAYING PILOTS to attend our Orlando 2013 Job Fair. The payment will come in the form of a $25 Gift Certificate to StopOverStore.com. Here's How it Works: -Register using one of the below REGISTER buttons (dependent upon if you are a FAPA.aero member or not). Registration must be completed by Friday, November 22nd at 1200 EST. -Show up at the Job Fair by 0900 to register and listen to airline presentations. -Stay at the Job Fair until at least 1400. This will give you enough time to talk to at least one participating airline/company. -Go to the FAPA.aero Registration desk and submit a copy of your resume with a valid email address. -Receive an email from FAPA.aero within five business days with a certificate code valued at $25. -Note that when you signup for any of our Job Fairs you receive a membership to our website. The regular initiation fee of $49 is waived but you will be charged $4.95 per month until you tell us to cancel it. To cancel, click here. |

Is there a limit on how many I can attend to supplement my income?

Well, as long as we have self inflicted doses of madness topped off with improper commuting techniques we are bound to lose a few along the way.

Good find....very interesting. I cannot understand why management has pitched bad contracts at their respective regionals if they are in a pinch for pilots.

Well can you really blame them, if the pilots keep accepting them?:(

Exactly. Regionals are already feeling the pinch. Contracts should be improving if they want to attract newhires. Pilot groups signing concessionary contracts are signing their own death certificates.
