I've heard the same rumor but that goes directly against the award language. If it happens the union will grieve it and 10 years from now the guys who fail the test will get a chance to flow to AA.

Call me naive, and I don't have the language in front of me. How, though, does this test go against the award language? AFAIK the language just stated the pilots won't have to participate in any portion of an interview or medical. AA management could just say this test is not part of the interview process. It is a "screening" test. The award language doesn't mention that does it?

Well they are being told they have to go to Dallas on their own dime and their own time and once they "successfully complete" this non-jeopardy pilot skills test they are in. I guess the issue is the wording. Why would you have to "successfully" have to complete a non-jeopardy event instead of just completing it.

But you are correct, grieve it and it will be years for the first of the 824's to go.
