What a complete waste of legislation. Every time I sign the release as an FO I think to myself nothing has changed. This not a post to complain about how much we get paid or how un fair life is. I know what I signed up for and had a little to much hope that things would get better but I wonder would this have prevented the crash in buffalo? The only thing I see changing now is that if a crash happens and you commuted the night before or we're sick or tired you have just lied about your well being before the flight. In these tough times of job threats and pay cuts keep your heads up, fly safe and stay diligent.

Looking at my January schedule i fully anticipate being much more fatigued/burned out. 5 on 3 off. And not commutable either end so that's one day per 8 day period out of an airplane/airport. Oh ya...we choose to commute.

Then don't sign... If you aren't fit, don't lie that you are to "help the man out" The Feds need to SEE REAL data on this

I wish it didn't come to this, but when did pilots put their foot down and strike for fair/safe rest rules?
