Default Penair Jumpseat

I am going to UNK based starting next week. Penair will be my ride of choice out there. Anything I need to know? How many bags can I check? Are the UNK loads usually light?

Thanks.

Sometimes the -6, but I think it is usually the -9 these days.

Seems like that might be your best bet. Back in my Caravan SIC days I think I could take 2 50 pounders out on PenAir, usually those were totes full of groceries as I just left gear out there. Sometimes I'd have to wait a day or two for them to get out to me.

That info is very dated though.....

If I change on a day NAC goes out there I will use them. Usually more reliable.

Thanks. I will have a big duffel bag and a cooler going out. Once I get moved in out there I will just be traveling with a cooler.

I think they charge for the second bag now.
Edit: found the info on their website Penair.com

The UNK loads are usually really light on PenAir, however the flight occasionally combines with the McGrath or Aniak flight which might fill it up some. Do most companies charge jumpseaters for checking bags? You should be able to take 2.
