XJet and Eagle NO...RAH coming up. Is it time to form a regional airline pilots union? The ALPA of regionals? Unity of groups and no more racing to the bottom?

ALPA already has a FFD Working Group.

An "ALPA of regionals" would have two nickels to rub together and would lose the access and tools at their disposal already, and "unity" doesn't come from splitting apart. RAH would be better served to affiliate with the soon to be 55,000+ pilot strong ALPA and dump IBT.

And how have those "tools" benefited the regional industry over the past decade? The ALPA model doesn't work for the regional carriers with the race to the bottom, whipsaw play book management has been using and pitting pilot groups against each other.

Regional pilots are finally starting to show the only unity that will get them out of this mess. It's a national unity of regional pilots.

Congrats Eagle!

Congratulations to what? American said they are going to find some other carrier to do their flying. And that's what they will do, there is always some other regional willing to low ball the other. It's sad but that's the way it is.

Who has the staffing to be able to take on those planes? There is a pretty major vacuum when it comes to qualified pilots to become newhires.

You're missing the point. Pilots should never allow new airplanes to be used as a bargaining chip for concessions.

Tell us which carrier that will be?

Thanks guys for all of your support. The Eagle pilots greatly appreciate it. The ball is back in managements court. We shall soon see what they do with it.
We knew we are going to shrink, one way or the other.
