Default Empire airlines scheds

Any empire airlines guys or gals out there? I was just kind of curious on how your schedules work in the AFW base. And any examples you may have. Thanks!

The AFW run shows at 3:20 am departs to MAF 4:30 am and returns 8:40 am Tuesday through Friday morning. It's definitely one of the best runs in the system if you can get used to flying on the backside of the clock.

So will you fly tue, wed, thur, and fri every week of the month? Do you get one of the weeks in the month off?

Are you completely off on Sat, Sun and Mon or do they keep you on the hook with reserve or standby?

How stable is the AFW base, meaning will it ever close?
If you hire on to be a AFW ATR pilot, can they force you to change your base to an outstation like MAF, ICT, TUl (for example) after you sign the agreement?

What is a roamer and how long do you have to be a roamer?
thanks!!

Prior to being short on pilots we would typically get one week off a month. Now guys are getting a few months in a row without a week off depending on the base. We accrue at least 3 additional days off a month.

The schedules are based on a 5 day work week so you are reserve from 12-5am Tues-Sat Morn so they can call you in early if they need to. Sun- Mon are completely off.

How stable? Really hard to say. I would say more stable than a regional base but the flight has only been going for about a year. You can be displaced if they close a base or if they close another base they can displace the most jr. pilot in a current base.

A roamer covers where we are short due to open positions, vacations, or training. Usually they are out two weeks a month with another week of reserve, and week off but can be up to 3 weeks out. You will stay a roamer until you bid another open spot. It just depends when/if other people move.

Hi Fedex Dreamer, do you happen to know what their policy is for interviewing a 2nd time? Will they even allow another try? Just wondering.

I don't know if there is a standard policy for interviewing a 2nd time. I would apply again and see if they call.
