Health insurance and your regional?

What type of health benefit do you get from your regional? Or do they offer?
I have never worked at a regional and am currently applying. I am very curious to how much I have to pay out of pocket to cover monthly premium for my self an 3 other dependents.

Thank you very much!

Skywest has a lot of options but I chose the United Healthcare PPO it's $77 a paycheck not really all that good I'll switch to an HSA next yr. Horizon is by far the best of all regionals I paid $5 bucks a paycheck for Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO.

However on this web(see below), it says SkyWest will pay $70 for each req medical. Does this mean if I want medical insurance for total of 4, Skywest will cover $280 only? So if I get health insurance with premium of $1000 per month, I will need to pay $720 out of my pocket?

I get the number $1000 per month because that is the quote I got when I called Blue Shied or cross last month.

Thank you

At awac, I know a captain that had a baby, costs $15k. He paid $5. I believe he was on a ppo. Not sure but it's pretty decent

PSA has good health insurance for all things considered. The cheaper plan is somewhere along the lines of $1000 deductible, small copay and 1500 max out of pocket for one person. Monthly premiums are about $90.

If I was a doctor, I would deliver a baby from a man for only 5 bucks too. I would get all sorts of notoriety ;)

SkyWest | AirlinePilotCentral.com

Based on what I understand the $70 medical on APC you are referring is to cover your pilot medical ( 1st class).

Horizon... 500 dollar deductible, 5 bucks per paycheck. I haven't paid a co-pay yet. I don't know about dependents, my wife has her own coverage.

I have the CDHP Value at SkyWest. I pay $61 a paycheck for my wife and I, and have a $5,000 deductible. SkyWest contributes $1,000 a year to my HSA and I've put enough it in the HSA to cover the deductible.

$33.70 per check 1,500 deductible XJT
