Brother.. I wish I knew. Skywest is a non-union carrier, and that's bad. ASA, well. they're ALPA so I can't figure out how to answer that.

This who industry is a mess, but we need to do our best to show solidarity.

Correct me if Iam wrong, but ALPA, nor any other non-union pilot group does not bid on flying...the bean counters do!

Exactly.. we're in a time in this post deregulation era where unions are all but inept. This new ALPA president seems dead set on reversing this trend, and we can only hope he's successful, but he's got an uphill battle.

The problem is that not just pilot, but most professional wages are on the decline, and the balance of power has shifted greatly in favor of the corporations. While I don't want to see us in a communist or even socialist state where capital is punished, I also think the axe has swung to far in the other direction.

I don't have all the answers, but I do know what the questions are.
