Slick little website however I don't see anyone reading it except pilots and perhaps Congresssional staffers.

However, it does point to the need for the regional airline unions to continue their informational and lobbying efforts on Capital Hill.

I just saw the slide show from the website - median salary 111K at regionals?

Really.

Need a counter campaign.

This is disgusting. I worked my butt off to 1500h like many others and now we may go backwards? For once Congress stick with a good law!
I certainly hope this will NOT happen.
There is no shortage of pilots but shortage of money to pay entry level pilots.

I doubt we'll see any change. Going back on this sort of legislation would be political suicide.

Yep, FAA has been quoted as saying these rules enhance safety.

Looking at the slides, it never said that median pay was at the regional airlines. It said that was the median pay for all airline pilots. And realize of course that "median pay" is not the "average pay". Median says that half of all pilots make more than that amount and half make less than that.

Given that they claim there are only about 18,000 regional pilots, and just looking at legacy carriers I am seeing about 40K+ pilots, it is no wonder that the median income is that high. Add in the other big name carriers such as Southwest, JetBlue, FedEx, UPS, Spirit, Etc and it is easy to see why the numbers are what they are.

I took a statistics class in college and I am sure you have heard this before, it is easy to make the numbers look any way you want them using some of the tricks of statistics. They could literally reduce all regional pilots to $1 an hour and the median pay would not change. Still 50% would make more than 111K like the RAA says, and 50% would make less.

The RAA is nothing more than an bunch of used car salesmen and should be treated as such.
