This is an attempt at finding out details concerning internal contract specifics from each regional for a comparison basis. Some of the info below is redundant and/or can be found on APC page, but included here for consolidation purposes. Since I and new and work at ExpressJet, I've provided what little info I know - most of which pertains to reserves (other XJTers - feel free to add/correct upon my info):
Pay scale correct as per APC page
Deadhead pay is 100%
Cancellation pay is 100%
Company pays scheduled pairing or better for in-pairing changes
Min guarantee is 75% (line and reserve)
"Bad Day Worse Day" trading for upcoming month available after 2nd line improvement window (usually the 25-28th) of current month
For reserves:
11 days off guaranteed
4 reserve vulnerability periods: Long Call, Short Call 1 (0300-1700), Short Call 5 (0800-2200) and Short Call 8 (noon-0200)
SmartPref bid system utilized to get an "idea" of upcoming reserve days to be served
So far, I've been post IOE for about 3 months. I expect to be on reserve for the foreseeable future as I'm so junior, they will have to hire new people for me not to be in the bottom 10% regardless of how many senior to me leave (and right now, they aren't hiring). I have flown more than guarantee once (June) and July looks as if I might just break it again. Given the manner in which scheduling goes about business, I generally expect to DH at least once every 4 day pairing which usually works out about 5 or 6 times a month.
My four day reserve pairings have averaged between 15-19 hours assigned but generally turn out to be an hour or two more due to various ground weather holds, maintenance issues, etc.
Overall, my 6 months with ExpressJet has been decent. The people that I fly with make up for the gloomy outlook, poor scheduling and continuous headache of flight cancellations, etc.
What is the contract like at Mesa? Republic? Envoy? SkyWest? Etc.?

Let me add/fix some info here... Obviously it is the 145 side.
For reserves:
11 days off guaranteed in a 30 day month/ 12 in a 31 day month
4 reserve vulnerability periods: Long Call, Short Call 1 (0300-1700), Short Call 5 (0800-2200) and Short Call 8 (noon-0200) These call out times are actually different depending on which base you are in
SmartPref bid system utilized to get an "idea" of upcoming reserve days to be served Not all bases use SmartPref. SmartPref is a "Phase 2" PBS system for relief lines and reserve in some bases.
In addition to the above reserve life;
- Expect your days off to get rolled. It will happen on reserve quite a bit as we still have serious staffing/planning issues.
- You will strategically be flown to other hubs where you will get reassigned multiple times due to their lack of coverage.
- Expect the dropped unproductive trips, unnecessary 36 hour layovers.
But as I type this, I am realizing that posting this information is irrelevant.... This place is burning down!
