Are you guys still thinking the 900's are growth aircraft? Serious question.

Compass also has a guaranteed interview. Not at AA but at Delta, an infinitely better run airline than DUI Doug's donkey show.

First CRJ200 lease is up in 2019 and they have not parked any yet so you tell me. Why would they park the cheaper PSA 200s before the more expensive AWAC/SKW/XJT/ENV 50 seat aircraft? I don't think you know as much as you think but keep flaming.

You are living in a fantasy world if you truly believe that.

I have never seen you here before but you post is dripping with newbie.

So they spent all that money to about double our pilot group, hire additional dispatchers, schedulers, MX etc.

They also upgraded our training center. Purchased 3 sims and quadrupled the size of the training dept for what? To furlough everyone in a year when they decide to park our 200s?

Why would they do this? Just to tell the pilots....HA! We fooled you! You'll still be the same size.....FOREVER!.

Serious question.

Cmon.

Just don't PSA your situation and you will be fine. Do whatever your mind is telling you.

Also, as for upgrade at your time, upgrade will be more like 3-4 years depending on the regional. Most minimums are 3000-4000 hours. At 600 hours per year average with EVERYONE else in the company trying to do the same, it might take longer than you think. Also, they won't lower the minimums because there are plenty of 5k hour FOs out there willing to jump ship if DECs happen.

Compass upgrade mins are 2500 TT and 1000 Multi or 2000 TT and 1500 Multi...

This can't be right. Alpa MEC was telling envoy that there was NO way you guys could staff all that flying.

They Lied.

AdiosMikeFox 08-22-2014 07:43 AM

ALPA? Or just the crew room rumor mill?

envoy Alpa MEC was preaching it. But no worries, the majority of them are flowing or flowed to AA already leaving the rest of envoy pilots with this poo-poo platter.

You do realize that ENV 50seaters are cheaper that the 200? Why? Because they cut their lease price in BK.

Truth is no one(on this site) knows who is really cheaper and who isn't.

PSA has been told over and over and over that our 200 leases are "dirt cheap" and that they would continue to make money even if fuel rose sharply.

What does that mean? Who knows.

We can sit here and say "I'm cheaper"....."No! I'm cheaper!" when the fact is neither of you have any idea what the real cost is.

You do realize that.....right?

I suppose that is what this website is all about though.

This represents a typical conversation in a PSA cockpit, does it not?

I know we bumped heads jt8d but that's pretty funny! Darn it Pagey, left yourself wide open for that one!

Dunkin welcome aboard. And I meant ship sailed as in if you get hired now, you will not upgrade in a year or two like many believes. Maybe 3-4 which is still awesome considering most of the recent upgrades were at 5-7 year mark. Of corse now it's down to 2.5 or less!

I've tried to semi retire from the PSA discussion.

I no longer respond to jt8d because he is irrational at best and full on psycho most likely.

Everyone on here argues until they are red in the face when in reality no one has any clue what they are talking about. Myself included.

Any time you present a logical, thought out post filled with facts everyone goes away for a couple days like it never happened because it's easier to just shout "backstabber" "scab" blah blah.

Unless it can be quoted from a contract, or leasing agreement etc. it's all speculation and mud slinging.

Nothing I've said is irrational. You conveniently turn a blind eye to any fact which is unsavory to your palette. It's called "living in a false reality".

I don't turn a blind eye to anything. In fact when people used to ask me questions I would tell them the good side, and the bad side, every time. I'm not trying to push an agenda or put anyone down. I post facts.

Almost every one of your posts is filled with name calling, insults etc. I consider that irrational because it's not possible to have an intelligent conversation with you. Once facts are presented you say something like "clowns" "backstabbers" "coward" "blowhard" "idiot" "btiches" and then conveniently disappear.

You once likened PSA to slave traders.

You are not a rational person. You are consistently offensively abrasive, and you bring nothing of value to any discussion.

I told myself I wasn't going to respond to you anymore, or any PSA talk in general unless it was someone asking a genuine question.

I made a mistake. I'll go back to ignoring it all now.

You left out the next sentence, "what other concessions can we take to help management hose other pilot groups"...

If you dread such a comparison as much as you purport to, perhaps you shouldn't be supporting the actions of your fellow PSA'ers in selling your industry-wide colleagues down river.

Nothing irrational about that.

You are the one who cannot comprehend the repercussions of the PSA TA being ratified. 12/4 would be thing of the past now if you all had turned it down with the rest of us.

Now it's here to stay.

I can tell you people this until I am blue in the face, but it's still "Hey, our contract is great", " I wonder when envoy -700's will show up here", "We did what was best for us". It's almost all I, I, I me, me, me.

Like it or not, the vast majority of regional airline pilots will agree with me.

As far as the adjectives I've used, I've just explained RATIONALLY why the shoe fits. But you'll never understand that fact.

It means you volunteered for a pay cut you didn't have to take.
