Crazy movement at ASA...

Recent captain Awards within the last 2 months at ASA...

57 CR200
32 CR700
10 ATR

I'm not a cheerleader for ASA in any way...however I think there are way worse places to work.

Something must be going on for all of these upgrades. If someone says it's to replace the guys leaving for other jobs I believe that is incorrect. We are already way over staffed on the CR200 captains.

Yes, I know we are getting 12 CR700's from Cinci. (If we didn't get them someone else would have...sorry guys). Skywest stole 8 of our 70's so a gain of 4 70's does not require this massive upgrade amount.

A brief history of my career at ASA...
EMB-120 upgrade 1.5yrs
Could have done the ATR just under 3 yrs.
CR200 upgrade 3.5yrs
CR700 upgrade 6yrs 1 month 10 days.

Yes, I'll be reserve forever... But I will not be at ASA forever :)

I have no idea about the contract... It will be done when the company wants it to be done. I'm not going to predict anything. I do know the quality of life for reserve will be 10 times better without going into detail.

Hope this helps clear up some B.S. posted on here about ASA.

Skywest did not "steal" your 700's, they "bought" them and it makes no sense to operate two bases in SLC. I grew up there BTW...SKW has been around as long as I have, but I don't seem to remember ASA...

But of course you guys didn't "steal" COMAIR's flying...I suppose it was a christmas gift that their MEC voted to give to ASA?

Tool.

Ouch, I see another hate thread happening.

R U an idiot? SKW Inc. allocated 8 of the RFP CJ7's to ASA. You can be sure that if and when SKW Inc is awarded the F9 CJ7’s that ASA pilots will be at the controls.

Also, unless I was mistaken, SKW bought ASA. To the best of my knowledge that means they own ASA, THE JETS BELONG TO SKW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All of ASA's assets belong to SKW Inc.

SKW Inc. is not stealing anything; they are adjusting BOTH airlines in order to create a better company. It may seem that SKW is benefiting from ASA but Jerry has a plan, we just have to wait and see. Don't forget that Jerry has been running SKW for over 34 years, SUCCESSFULLY! SKW has never furloughed and has posted 32 of 34 years in the black. The only two years in the red, year 1 in 72 and 82, that’s 24 strait years of profit! IMPRESSIVE, you can’t deny that.

So, stop your B*I*T*C*H*I*N*G and be happy that your company is now run by a man with a history of absolute success.

Good point. ASA is a better place because of SKW.

Now if they could just agree on a new contract.

I agree! They need a new TA. BUT, they won't get much of an improvement when it comes to hourly wages; they are already above industry average.

Jerry knows how to keep his airline well oiled so he won't let his labor groups drain the company, but he will do what he can to make sure our pay is well above average with excellent QOL. I'm sure their new TA will mostly be QOL.

Even if you look at Mgmnt here at SKW, they aren't the highest paid. BUT they, unlike they’re labor groups, are below industry average. Jerry could pay himself more, after all he deserves it, but he is modest and want's his company to succeed. Unlike J.O.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a Jerry cheerleader, I just give credit where credit is due.

I'm curious why you are so sure SkyWest will win the Frontier 70 seat flying. Republic already got that RFP, with their 170's.

Frontier is has placed an order for 10 Q400's with options for another 10. They intend on awarding the operation to a regional airline.
