No Type Rating Needed

I received an email from FAPA about this. Good news for all of us that don't have the 737 type.

Southwest Airlines is no longer requiring pilot applicants to have the Boeing 737 type rating prior to beginning new hire training. However, Southwest has communicated to FAPA that the B737 type rating will be valued if candidates have acquired it. Pilots who are selected will be split into separate training programs upon beginning new hire training.
