You are delusional if you think that many don't care. But go ahead and think that the few thousand Skywest FAs will tip the balance. By the way, the afa doesn't just add FAs to one of their list. They will have to negotiate for integration. Which pretty much assures the Skywest FAs will unionize, defeating your argument.

Do you recognize tongue in cheek? If you think this stuff is happening by accident, think again. You can bet there is a plan, and Rich has been a deep insider at SKYW, from the Metro days, to think he is going to uproot him and his family from deep in the Holy Land without a master plan you just might be that crazy. You guys have been pitted against one of the most anti-union companies in existence, add Ford & Harrison into the mix, and I don't see a rosy outcome for labor. I have been watching this crew for awhile, let's say it's been interesting.

Hasn't looked rosy at all since our MEC caved in scope. By the way, I don't think BR was all that anti-Union. It was his boss that gave him marching orders.

You are sadly mistaken, Skywest likes unions like vampires like holy water, garlic toast and wooden stake carvings. All the higher ups are on the same page, and it ain't the lets send ALPA or any other union valentines page. If you underestimate Jerry and the kids, you will be short lunch money and your bike.

I don't underestimate JA at all. I know his immoral kind. I'm talking about BR. Obviously they didn't see eye to eye and he was eventually demoted. He saw the writing on the wall and cut his loses and went to UAL with a lot more upside for him. No, I don't think he was as anti-Union as you make him out to be. Which is partly why he no longer works for Skywest.

I never said he supported labor unions. I just said he isn't as anti-Union as some make him out to be. I also think that if it was solely up to him, he would've still made the decision to buy xjt but would've merged all airlines and let the union chips fall where they may. I was there when we told him we were open to concessions as part of a merger of all three airlines. But that decision wasn't his, it was his boss'.

No black helicopters, Skywest is if nothing else expert at keeping stuff under wraps. Tight control and keeping things "in the family" means information control. While not every decision has been perfect, Skywest Inc employs 1/3 of the regional pilots in the industry, and by default flies 1/3 of the regional flying. Not bad for a mom and pop 135 operation. They didn't get there by luck, or by accident. Truth be told, I believe you guys were sold to clean up CALs balance sheet for the merger and UAL thought that Skywest could clean up the contract, and operation, absent that be their agent of choice to liquidate Expressjet. If there ever was a management group and legal team to effect this, it would be Skywest. Not wishing, advocating or promoting, this concept, just observing. Skywest has a pathological hate for unions and their pesky CBAs. The way I see it, they figure if Brad H. can't whip the situation into line, they will let UAL send a new hand down to observe first hand the situation and make the final decision. If the decision is made, my bet is SKYW will be "awarded" a few contracts that will allow them to recoup their losses and UAL will be able to "Comair" their problem without getting their hands dirty.
Again, not wishing, advocating, just observing and making an uneducated guess from the far sidelines, but I have spent a few years watching the executive group from inside the operation.
