Dooley and koscal are taking over WH's negotiating position for the company.

ThreeStripe, look for the girl in the blue dress standing in front of the EICAS.

It is hard to tell that it's Robin Meade...not the best picture of her.

All this time I thought that was the girl from the Part 117 videos...

I wonder if this helps or hurts the negotiating process. BB sounded pretty adamant he wants to get the contract issue behind the airline and move on. Obviously could be a smoke and mirrors bluff, but not only is the pilot group crumbling....so is management. There are guys there that have a foot out the door for better, too. March attrition numbers are going to be crazy.

Heller gone, stock up 6% on a down day on Wall St. Wassup?

samc 03-10-2015 09:19 AM

If BB wanted a new CBA he could have pulled one through by now. There is interest in a CBA, like always, just not one we'd like or vote for. This will have almost no impact on negotiations.

The TA they want includes, worse RSV rules, contactability, no rigs, no cnx pay, concessions on pay compared to inflation. It'll be the last TA all over again. Thankfully I think our NC will keep the next offer in check. I'd still bet tons of money we don't see a TA in 2015.

This is true! Also the company is always a couple steps ahead of the Local 357. Maybe this works out for the pilot group, but I think this is the beginning of a whipsaw.

He left to buy the Chautauqua certificate to start an alter ego airline.

That's not such an outlandish idea. The CHQ certificate was the original home for the initial 170's. RAH has 50 or so new 175s on the way with absolutely no pilots to fly them and no idea how to attract more pilots.

As far-fetched as that sounds, I'd say it has an equal chance of being a possibility!

Most likely any new upstart would be considerably cheaper then RAH. Our junior captains are on year 8 pay, but of course our FOs lower our overall cost. I don't see how they could start up a new regional from scratch in this environment though.

It wouldn't be starting from scratch. The CHQ certificate is still valid along with all the training and operating manuals. It also has EMB 135's through EMB190's on the certificate.

There's no way they could get cheaper. Work Rules suck and healthcare if crazy high. No way he could make you guys cheaper.

I remember a guy I was flying with that left Piedmont. He told me that he had to get out of Piedmont because he was embarrassed telling people what kinda of plane he flew.

I just said, "What's more important, telling someone the plane you fly or telling someone how much money you make?"

He's still an FO at RAH and could've been a Captain at PDT now and be in a much better position in terms of his career and definitely when it comes to money in his pocket.

Oh well:rolleyes:

Short term they would be much cheaper then RAH. We are a very senior pilot group, and it is only going to get worse. street captains and industry leading FO pay.

The problem would be getting the FAA required management positions filled. Doesn't seem very career enhancing.

FEtoFO 03-13-2015 04:39 PM

Looks like the 145s are staying for awhile. New vacancy shows 10 E145 CA and 16 FOs. I assume the FOs will be new hires, but knowing this place anything could happen. FYI the 145 has horrible schedules and as an FO you will make more on the 170s.

Loon 03-15-2015 05:17 AM

Not sure that means much. We're losing people at lightning speed; this is just them putting their finger in the dike.

I think this vacancy is about retention and recruitment and not just keeping the left seat staffed. I just flew with a 2012 hire that was leaving to go fly charter. We will probably see 75 pilots leave this month, but only 1/3 will be from the left seat. The company has to stop the attrition from the FOs or we will be in serious trouble.

You can't do that any more. ACA was the last one.

Oh well

I know a guy who left PDT, went to Republic and has been at Airways 1.5 years.

Wonder if they are the same person...
