Thanks for all the information. This cruise is our 4th in 16 months. On each of the three, we would get to the port city a day or two early. We would do the same again but i have an important event on the day before this flight that is related to a new nonprofit where I'm on the board, the operations person, the legal counsel and jack of all trades.

I'll just keep my fingers and eyes crossed.

vagabond,

Starting 4/12/2015, on Sundays only, SKW5166 is in fact IAH/MIA. Departs IAH at 720A and arrives MIA at 1048A. SkyWest keeps a dedicated spare CRJ7 in IAH. Just to use yesterday as a measuring stick, when the weather is favorable, all 47 outbound flights pushed within 5 mins of their STD with a raw completion factor of 100%.

ALWAYS fly in the night BEFORE a cruise. Enjoy the evening and go to the boat stress free in the morning.

She said she can't go the day before.

Without getting too personal, I'm curious about your background vagabond. I know you like the Seahawks and apparently have a cute dog, but if you don't mind my asking what's your aviation background? Just ask because here you are as a moderator on APC but you're somewhat unfamiliar with the CRJ700.

Vagabond is a lawyer, Judge, and business owner, amongst other things, who has an interest in aviation (she's done at least some flying IIRC). We benefit greatly from a having a judge on the moderation team. You don't have to be a pro-pilot to be an APC member, although annoying pre-teen or student pilot noobs who repeatedly post stupid statements/questions or punch above their weight may get restricted to the flight training forums.

I once judged a beauty contest, and was trusted to award $10 to the second place winner. If you ever need another judge, let me know.
