Frequency change approved, goodnight

I've only been in this industry for 7 months, but something occurred to me the other day.

When I go work a trip, I usually enjoy myself. The flying is still fun and I have mostly escaped the horror stories of reflows, shorted paychecks, 16 hr duty days, and the like. I'm sure that will change, but until now it's been a mostly positive experience.

But when I read these forums, I feel just the opposite. The sniping, the negativity, the insults (a few of which I have myself admittedly supplied), the doom and gloom... It's enough to make anyone wonder why they joined this industry. It's just depressing. I always log off feeling worse than when I logged in.

So I'm done with this snarkfest. Thanks to those who helped me out when I was considering joining this racket known as the airline biz. Much appreciated. See y'all on the line.

You were nominated for Tool of the Day because you claim to have made a PA in flight about a passenger comment that you fly a puddle jumper.

Now this.

Oh what a world, what a world!

Thin skin,
Bet he is gone before upgrading. Once he experiences the things he hasn't yet, the end will be close. If he can't hang here, wellllll....be shocked if he makes it through the summer after a few choice EFB notifications/reflows. At least he will have a souvineer EFB that will make a better chopping board, than computing device.

I just hope he makes it long enough to "like" CCB's 25 year post on SWOL.

FaceBiter 04-17-2015 07:20 PM

True, not many people aspire to be the #1 most hated RJ pilot in base at a regional airline.

but congratz bro! hi-five! Did you have a party when M.O. went to the 175?

High five back at ya, just enjoying the simple things. Howz your upgrade coming, hope those "lifer" RJ/ERJ instructors enjoy you as much in the box as they do here. M.O. Is a nice guy, spent many a break talking with him. I wish him nothing but the best.

I had no idea that being a pilot also was a popularity contest. Wow do I get 2 ribbons? Why just base. what about company wide? It could be your purpose in life, a special purpose.

Not sure why you felt the need to express yourself like that when these forums are more like a comedy show most of the time, but, good for you man, good night.

Hey gramps.... You just replied to the same post twice. Let me feel you in about the rules of the fancy interweb machine, that's the first sign of getting owned. Sorry. Give me a call when it's time to get rid of those phantom pop ups that keep frightening the grandkids.

Yawn,
Too long, too boring. You lost me when you wanted to "feel me in" too "ghey". The grand kids use Apple products and don't know what pop ups are. Gotta go, the grandkids wanna go to the lake and waterski, gotta get the plane gassed up and cooler filled. Have fun in Minnie.

Pretty much. The other 17980 are smart enough, like kfahmi, to avoid posting and reading here because they enjoy their lives/jobs too much. The most negative of the negative are the ones who post here and I think he's in the majority for avoiding this place:rolleyes:
