Realistic First Year F/O Pay at QX
Just got hired on, was wondering if anyone on here is a 1st or 2nd year FO at QX? Just curious how much credit time to expect to get 1st year. Have to start thinking about that budget! I have heard from other sources that right now low to mid 30K's isn't unrealistic.
Thanks!

Your horizon bro's might have an answer here. But yeah plan for a budget your first year.

I've averaged between 600 and 700 hours of flight time per year. I was out on a medical leave for a month in each of the last two years.

I was hired at the end of a year, so for the following year I was on first year pay for 11 months, and second year pay for 1. My gross pay since hired has been as follows:
37,200
48,900
55,000

Keep in mind that my medical leaves also took some pay out of what I could have made. Yes, most of it was covered by sick/short-term-disability, but not all. This is all just estimated at the moment, I'll take a look at my pay stubs again soon and make any corrections if I see them.
Edit: Of the 55k number, 1450 was extra 200% flying. Of the 48k number, 1900 was 200% flying.

Any difficult areas during the interview? Fresca sim sounds way too exciting! Appreciate any feedback!

At the end of the first year, there was a $1600 bonus check that was part of a contract extension signing bonus, so that's part of the 37k number that would be missing for someone hired now. My second year I did a fair bit of 200% pay flying. Early in the third year I was still doing some, but not as much. The last half of the third year basically none.

Here are the after-deduction numbers. I don't have kids, so if you do your taxes will probably be different.
55k gross, 42,990 net. If you don't want to include per diem in these numbers, it was 4,800 bucks.
48.9k gross, 39,940 net. Per diem was 4,400.
37.2k gross, 31,301 net. Per diem was 4,100.
