Lack of Crew= Canceled Flights?

So..... just curious what has been going on with the beginning of the summer rush and cancelation of flights due to lack of crew? Has this been happening yet, flights being cancelled due to lack of crew? What have you been experiencing at your particular carrier?

I can tell you that the first time I've commuted in like 4 months today, LAX to Phoenix was cancelled. But they did put us up in a nice hotel with free happy hour so could be worse. Definitely having flashbacks to my days commuting as a regional pilot.

CPZ is crapping the bed on the DL side.

Republic was canceling more flights than anyone in the world for a few weeks. BB crawled to the legacies and asked for a reduction in a/c utilization over the summer, equating to about $15M in loss. Now we are canceling significantly less. BUT, as the bottom feeder, with the worst morale and contract, we can't expect to keep up with attrition. Our last class of 8 graduated 1. Meanwhile we've lost 1.3 pilots a day. "God Bless".

Not one airline is as short as we want them to be.

Not on the cancelation metric but our on time performance blows. The OP asked about cancelations. Compass is in the middle of the pack when it comes to canceling.

I'm sure pimp daddy D loves that y'all are asking to reduce flights in favor of taking more AA airplanes. Daddy angry.

Elohel.
