Trying to figure out a strategy to boost my TPIC (currently have around 1300 TPIC), to look competitive to the Majors.
Unless your time counts per the new regulations, you can't be a DEC.

What regulation are you talking about?

Talking

Delta will be hiring direct entry Captains into the EMB 170 & 190's by 2022. You heard it here first.

Well thanks for pointing that out. Looks like I apply to the majors and keep my fingers crossed

Do you have 121 time? If not, I recommend getting some, even if it's SIC. Without it, you'll be competing against thousands of regional pilots that can check that box.

Apparently spelling isn't a requirement over there either.

No 121 time. It's all part 135 single pilot IFR, mostly air ambulance. And unfortunately I am past the point where I can go sit right seat at a regional for what they pay right now, I have too many mouths to feed. So I'll try for a couple of the majors and if that doesn't work, I'll probably be bombing around in a Learjet somewhere or end up working for a fractional or something.

Thanks for the advice
