Pilot 'disagreement' delays UEx flight...

Any bets on what the disagreement was over?

From USA Today:

A United Express flight was delayed for five hours in Lubbock, Texas, this past weekend after its pilots got into a "disagreement" that ultimately left them "unavailable" to operate the flight.

The Saturday flight was operated by ExpressJet, a regional carrier that flies feeder flights for larger "mainline" carriers. The carrier was operating the Lubbock flight under United Airlines' regional United Express brand. ExpressJet flies for American under its American Eagle brand and for Delta under its DeltaConnection brand.

As for Saturday's United Express flight, ExpressJet spokesman Jarek Beem confirmed the incident to The Associated Press, acknowledging Houston-bound Flight 4453 was "delayed due to crew availability."

"There was a disagreement among crew members," Beem told AP. "There was no fight ... there was no physical altercation thankfully."

Still, the disagreement apparently was heated enough to prompt a call to police, a traveler who claimed to be an eyewitness told The View From the Wing frequent-flier blog, which was the first to report the incident. Airport police did not immediately respond to messages from AP seeking comment.

EverythingLubbock.com, the website for Lubbock TV station KAMC, reports the ExpressJet flight eventually departed for Houston about five hours late with about 20 passengers onboard.

Beem told KAMC he couldn't confirm exactly what the pilots' disagreement was about, but said the carrier would handle the issue internally. Beem added to AP that ExpressJet was still investigating the incident and that it was unclear if the crew would face disciplinary action.

"All passengers were re-accommodated with a new crew. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused," Beem says to KAMC.

AP writes a "United Airlines spokeswoman said the carrier joined ExpressJet in apologizing to inconvenienced passengers but referred all questions to ExpressJet."

"This is not something that happens often," ExpressJet spokesman Beem said to KAMC.

There was only one fig bar left, or coconut cookies, and the FO took both. CA refused to fly unless the FO would share. Oh nevermind, this was UAX...

Your mind is tempted to think they didn't like each other kind of thing but maybe it was more along the lines of the FO didn't think it was safe and the Captain wanted to go. Or the FO wasn't going to get promised overtime for the flight, etc..

The official airline statement, "At least there wasn't a fist fight" LOL.

I disagreed with my captain farting in the cockpit constantly for four days. Somehow I still made it work.

Talked to a buddy who is a captain at Xjet...apparently the FO has a reputation for being a complete douche bag. The guy is a 2013 hire and thinks he can tell 12 year captains what's what....so, he's that guy. There was a huge personality conflict for other reasons as well.

I believe the argument was about who got to go home with the Envoy pilot named RJ Pilot at the end of the trip. He/she is a would be a real treat for an XJT pilot.
