It'll pass by 85%...too many lifers that are scared and too many new hires that want an upgrade.

What are you smoking? All we want? This TA is still well below skywest and air wisconsin. There are some gains, but it's FAR from all we want.

I think it will pass in the upper 50s to low 60s

That makes a lot of sense. You are voting in an inflationary paycut from 2007 wages of roughly 4 dollars per hour as a CA. That 4 dollars an hour pays for your signing bonus in 3-5 years. You're paying your own bonus.

More importantly with unlimited payments to pipeline and other candidates you are ensuring there will NEVER be leverage again. The company didn't negotiate up to this point. Do you think if they have a constant supply of new hires they'll ever negotiate again? And you're willing to give away leverage for all future Republic pilots so you can pay for your own bonus?

You're throwing the military pilots at Republic under the bus. But I guess you'll still get your 'merica pants on every year during Veteran's Day.

Vacation was bad so we raised the credit value of a week of vacation and slightly raised the accrual (most people lose a week of vacation) then we reduced the value of MIL days so those guys get reserve. We identified a problem [vacation causes RSV because the credit value is so low] and fixed it by [raise credit value of vacation, and reduce credit value of MIL leave]. Hmm this seems like a great deal, I'm glad we didn't concede anything. Wait, we conceded a week of vacation, loss of vacation if you call in sick, and threw the military guys under the bus.

The basic mentality is (with regional airlines) that this is a "stepping stone" and that our "pie in the sky" is that much coveted major. I'm sure you agree.
So why then do we expect to get the garden of Eden with this "stepping stone"?
Your thought process (like many others) is inconsistent.
For the record, i think it's a good ta; apparently you don't.
Vote NO, pout when it passes and move on to that major job and get the contact that you feel you deserve.

Not a stepping stone when it's a 10 year stint flying multi million dollar equipment with the same responsibility and skill set.

It is a stepping stone regardless of what you're flying. No child ever glanced up skyward and said, "I want to be a regional pilot when I grow up." They dream of being a Delta or United pilot. Anyways, I think this TA will pass by a slight margin because most people are simply beyond the point of caring anymore. Take the cash payout and run as fast as you can.

I agree!
My point is that 19/20 f.o.'s that i fly with hate the company and are looking to move on. I am happy for them and hope them the best. Since they are not planning on staying any longer than they have to though, why not take the better work rules and higher pay while they can?
For the airline that we have (regional), this ta is more than adequate.
The "burn baby burn" crowd are just childish.
