What do the Wisconsin Buckeyes have to do with those bases?

I will assume you're joking or just come over there and slap you in the face... haha

OO commute to ORD. You're seniority will rise quickly and you will have commutable trips within no-time.

If i were you i would honestly consider Great Lakes and make it a career.... no better place in the world to fly. Great benefits and amazing pay :). Hope you find what your looking for in such an awesome airline.

Republic is a good choice for the KC area. Don't know what concerns around our "contract holding up" you may have, but feel free to PM me any questions.

I'm biased because I work for Republic, but I would skip the commute and come here.

You should like Buckeyes, you have watched them win the last 11 years.

RE: Midwest Bases

For what it's work... Working for a regional airline will be a very short term venture for most pilots being hired today. (4-6 years). I would strongly suggest looking beyond the regional to the major or mid-major that you would like to work for. From there focus on the regional that can take you to that airline. (IE. American= Envoy, Piedmont, PSA. Delta=Endeavor Air. United=Commutair. Jet Blue=Cape Air) I would not recommend choosing a regional because of orders for "shiny new jets" or pilot domiciles, because we all know these change.

I would rather live near base than chase upgrade times or signing bonuses. I know Republic flies out of KC but just don't know how the new contact will hold up. I understand it is all a gamble at this point but looking for suggestions.

Have you looked at pilotdomiciles.com

LOL, because flows always work soooooo well. Everyone is hiring. Majors couldn't care less which regional you are coming from. Choose the one with some good stability that has a base that works for you. The end.
