Default Colgan Bases

Do you bid for bases during training based on seniority (age)? Also, on the average, how many new-hires get White Plaines (HPN)?

Yes, its based on age.

There are about 4 there now, with three having been hired in 05.

Only 4 pilots based there? So it takes an average of 2 years just to be able to hold HPN? Or am I missing something? Thanks..

There were two guys in my nov 28 class that wanted HPN but couldn't get it. I think HPN is pretty senior. Just have to wait a while i guess

Anybody fill me in on getting based in MHT, PVD and HYA (is it only a 340 base in summer? ).
Thanks in advance.

If you look at the bases with senior F/Os, that is where the holes will soon be. So, HPN might work out for you, since upgrades are just under 2 years currently and about to drop it appears.

What he said. THree of those FO's at HPN will be upgrading soon, at least this year anyhow, so that gives you a good shot at holding HPN as long as someone more senior to you doesn't take it. HYA, there is an interesting one. It's a "perm" base, but the plane is only there during the summer. I doubt they would let anyone else move there as a base until the plane comes back. I'm not too sure how senior PVD or Manchester are.
