De ice with flaps up.
Honest question.
SkyWest started this year deicing with the flaps up and then extending them just prior to taking the runway for takeoff. Apparently there is a recommended reduction in Hold Over Time if the flaps are in the takeoff position as the fluid runs off. My question is what other operators are doing the same thing or is it still flaps at takeoff position during deice spraying? |

XJT uses a qrh checklist for deicing which ultimately leads to putting flaps down after deicing.

DE ICE- flaps down
ANTI-ICE- Flaps up Thats the procedure at envoy as far as I can remember. Good Luck! |

Envoy has been setting takeoff flaps prior to takeoff for a couple years now on the ERJ
|
Horizon does it both ways... Depending on if you are deicing with engines running or on APU power alone.

At PSA the recommended procedure for all CRJ's is flaps up.
