Thanks for the info!!
WOW! We have everything from life is a vacation too, bickering in the cockpit!! (that CANT be good).
I never thought of bidding together....interesting.
I'm starting to get the feeling that it is very couple specific...sounds like some couples do it well, while others could use some alone cockpit time!!!
Thanks again, I love this site!!

Kids yes, but hopefully much further down the line..i know that could pose a huge logistical problems. I think I would want one of us to be home with the kidos, but then again if the Grandparents are willing to take care of them for a while every month then that wouldn't be terrible either.

I have been in a close relationship for many years but feel no urge to get married.
I hope you have met the person of your dreams, and I wish all the best for both of you. Having said that, I have a question for you: What's the rush in getting married? Or need, for that matter.
Name me ONE advantage that you'd have by getting married? (the $16,900 exemption on the 1040 doesn't count...
plus if you factor in your education costs and moving expenses, you'll have no problem at claiming zero tax liability on a regional FO pay
)I say again, 101.5 FM will preach the word of your saviour....

That reminds me, one of my previous flight instructors is also in a two-pilot marriage... she is an AF reserves/corporate pilot, and he's a regional dude. They seemed to be happy.

I met my wife while we were both college, we wound up getting married a few years later while both of us were pilots in the military...that was a challenge.
We are both out and working for Fedex and UPS and life is much better now. It is a tough choice to make esp. while you are still in school. There will be many complications that does not apply to a single pilot family... kids, etc.
I would not rush into anything, we waited almost 7 years.
Good luck

Who talked about dumping? Follow her to the moon and back if you feel she's worth it! Why is it two adults can't share a very close relationship while living together without getting married?

Tom Leykis. It's hard to pick-up in Prescott. But as soon as you're 10miles south of PV on the 69 you'll pick it up.
But you can always hear it live at:
