There were guys in my regional class with no college degree at all. You'll be fine without a doubt. But I would choose a regional with a flow...right now you wont get hired at a major unless you have a four year degree/flow to said major. But that could change when sh** really starts hitting the fan in the next couple years

Hey, everyone. I currently have my associates degree. Will the lack of a 4 year degree hold me back from picking up a job with the regionals? I am currently preparing to attend ATP's airline pilot program so within the next couple years all other requirements will be met.

Are you planning on making a career at a regional? If so an associate degree is more than enough.

OR he could go to an AAL WO, and fly for American not too far down the road without any degree at all. This is the truth of what the industry looks like now. Not necessarily saying it's good or bad, just saying the times they are a-changin'.

Get on with a regional with the associates and then continue to pursue the 4-year degree while flying full-time. If you can survive that while making good grades, that will be a good story for a major interview.

It's not an issue. 2 year degree when I interviewed and hired at JetBlue. Working at the time on my 4 year through Riddle worldwide, Told them that at the interview and I had my unofficial transcript with me. Carried a 4.0 GPA and it seemed to score well with the HR interviewer. I'd at least be working on it, even one class at a time each of the short semesters they do. It's not a lot of effort to put out for what it'll do for you.

Associates degree sufficient for hire??

Wow here I am 21 years of age finishing up my bachelors in business administration. I'll be done in May 2017. Should I discontinue or keep going? I plan on flying reserve or ANG first anyway so the bachelors is required anyway.
