How long did it take you to get the notice that you are interviewing with Eagle. I applied about two weeks ago and haven't heard anything. I sent a follow-up e-mail to Claudette and haven't heard anything yet. Any suggestions?

Review your online app. Make sure you have a current 1st class and current flying is updated (currency is a big deal w/ Eagle). If anything is off a little bit I think your app will not be "accepted".

Also I think they're seeing some more interest due to the domicile selection change, so anticipating a response literally within hours may be optimistic. Two weeks though may indicate something amiss. Good luck.

Eagle does have an LAX base on both the Saab and the ERJ. In my new hire class (11/06) 3 guys went to LAX on the Saab. The ERJ is much more senior out there. They want 600-700 new hires in 07, that should mean reserve times on the order of a few months. Upgrades on the ERJ are still at 8-10 years, but appear to be coming down to around four or five years.

In regards to the question about productivity, most pilots fly 80-90 hours per month. A productive schedule will allow you to complete that flying in fewer days than an unproductive one. I.e. fly 20 days a month, average 4 hours per day, get paid for 80 hours. And you still might have a 14 hour duty day to get those block hours. Compare that to flying 13 days a month, averaging 6 hours per day, you get paid for 96 hours. And if you can do all that flying in a 10 hour duty day, you can see where the latter example is more productive.

More flying + more money + less time at work = better trip.

BOS is the most Jr ERJ base, and oh yes we fly the E-135 pocket-rocket. BOS/LGA bases are the only ones who can handle it ;) I fly an E-140 about 5-8hrs a month, the rest is 135s, and I havent flown a 145 out of BOS in a long time.

so besides the CRJ's, does ORD mainly fly the 145's?

Thanks for the help guys. I got a class date with Comair. Interviewing with Pinnacle tomorrow then Eagle on the 6th. Really hoping tomorrow goes good then I wont have to go to Eagles interview. Days off will be important since I will have to fly out to the west coast to see my wife.

When's your Comair class date? I start the 19th. I would love to go to Eagle but they seem pretty strict on their time and won't call me.

Saab will probably be the most junior prop upgrade, followed by the ATR since the payscales on the ATR are considerably higher. Nobody can predict what the upgrade time will be in the future, but I think it is reasonable to expect 4-5yrs for upgrade if you were hired today.
