We are paid to do a service for a company. That service is spelled out in our job description. If someone chooses to not do that service, for whatever reason, they shouldn't get paid. Religion has nothing to do with it.

Can flight attendants serve alcohol if they aren't 21? If so do you have to be 21 to be hired as a flight attendant? Does the job description specifically say they must serve alcohol? Just curious

Emirates Airlines. A Muslim Airline in a Muslim country still require their Muslim cabin crew to serve alcohol onboard the aircraft. If the cabin crew refuse to do their job they will be fired. Pretty sure it's the same way at Qatar, Etihad, Turkish, Malaysian...etc

I believe she was turned down for a job at Emerates because she refused to comply with their policies.

Share our values? The values Americans share is life, liberty and pursuit of happiness. We have had people from all walks of life immigrate to this country (Quakers, Mormons, Irish Catholics, Puritans, Muslims, Indians, Chinese and more). The greatest thing is their freedom to practice their religion or non-religion of choice without the fear of retribution.

Yes if you operate a business you may not discriminate against people.

Companies only have to make reasonable accommodations for religious beliefs. As serving alcohol is an essential part of being a flight attendant she will lose her suit.
