I am not saying do it or not.. All I am saying is there are more things in my underwear that get me irritated than someone unknowing to me has some music in his/her TSO'd headphones.. the source of that music may be a solid state card plugged into their TSO's headphones.. I don't care.. If someone is distracted in the flight deck.. after the first day of a trip, buy them a beer and say hey... your xxxx is xxx and I would like it if you xxxx.. handle it is as a crew.

I am more concerned with the guy or girl next to me being present, alert, and doing their job. Technology has leaped way past what the CFR's and FOM's were intended for.

We just got spanked from the FSDO for someone having a tablet mounted to the side window during a flight. That pilot was using the stratus to get the big picture. Our radar is 30 year old piece of crap that will take you into a level 5 and barely paint green.

Than there are the mainline guys with Wi-Fi on their birds looking at the CHIVE ( or other things ) while flying...
