I am sure the several people on here that recently received a TBNT letter would disagree.

You must pass the written test (gouge is available on AviationInterviews.com), and must have met certain standards put forward by AAG. Not too difficult, but if anyone submits an incomplete app, doesn't show up with the required paperwork, or has a bad history will not get the job.

I'll do what I have to do to be prepared. Don't want to waste my time or theirs... Thanks to everyone for their input.

Does PSA prohibit beards? What about mustaches? I haven't been without a beard since 1983 but of course will shave it if required. Might be scary what's under there though...

Beards and goatees are not permitted.

Mustaches (traditional only) must be neatly trimmed and may not extend beyond 1/4 inch below the corners of the mouth.

From our ops manual.

U.S carriers are pretty strict about the beard. However, overseas, they don't seem to have a problem with it at all. The beard issues stems from the debate on the oxygen mask usage and the ability to have a tight seal whilst sporting a beard or goatee.

I've been offered an interview with PSA. I've been studying in prep for that. I've got about a week to get reeducated.
