But why endure such hassle and put yourself in such a situation when there are many other carriers with better offerings? Do. Not. Sign. A. Training. Contract.

Ever.

I know not of any other profession that engages in such peonage. This is 2016. Management hasn't realized that people will no longer pay to "live the dream" (whatever that is).

So they made no mention of it, then put it on the table in front of you on day one and have you sign it, or walk out? That's signing under duress.

If they're that desperate to keep people there with a signing contract that isn't worth the paper it's printed on, that should tell you something.

Lol that contract is anything but complex. And if you give 45 days notice it gets cut in half. They emailed it to us before class started but I was hired in 14

Just so we're clear, they emailed it to me as well, and you are correct: I read it again, and they will forgive half of what ever is remaining on the contract (it's pro-rated) if you give 45 days notice.

Bottom line is that Mesa looks more desperate every day. FOs should be leaving in droves because the only attractive thing about Mesa (the quick upgrade) is long gone and the pay is so far below industry standard at this point that it is laughable. Vote with your feet. If your looking for a regional to begin your airline career at, steer clear.

Who gives 45 days?? 14 is the professional standard. Why sign anything in this climate?

Mesa was successful in suing a guy from my class, for the contract plus legal fees. There was a judgment against him for $60-$70k. You can look on google and find the lawsuit.

How about making it easier for everyone involved and just give us the legal citation? (Court, docket, case number)

Doesn't Frontier have a 24 month training contract?
