Default AD HOC or Regional

Hello.

Seeking advice
My background :ATP , mostly light aircraft , some flight instruction and presently I fly as a first officer on a corporate Citation 500.
About 20 years ago I flew a private B727 as a second officer and logged 650 hours on the panel.
With all the hiring these days I was wondering if anybody could list the pros and cons of choosing AD HOC cargo airlines ( DC9 MD80 B727 B737) or a position with one of the regionals carriers .( EMB or CRJ)

Cheers.

Just my two cents.... I left a regional for an AdHoc a couple years ago for a quick upgrade (aka money). It was HORRIBLE. Fly-by-night operations, questionable mx, non-union, old equipment, pressure to "move the rig", the list goes on...... I quit after one summer and came right back to the airlines. Money is good now here (60,000 first year) under 2 year upgrades, more days off...

Nobody pays $60K first year yet, if you consider min guarantee only, no per diem or OT. Some regionals are advertising $60K using 1,000 hours a year.

Everything else makes good sense, though I have not worked for any AdHoc places myself.

There is no FY FO making min guarantee of $60K at a regional.

It's not min guarantee but it's happening. Even without a 20K bonus.
