Haha this is coming together nicely!
I actually did write a song one time called “chasing needles.” Anyone who read the lyrics would have thought it was about heroin/addiction. I wrote it during instrument training. It was really about the struggle of keeping the needles centered while learning to shoot an ILS approach
Anyways... back to PSA vs Republic....

I have a few friends that work for republic and think they spent no more than 2 months on reserve after training. So I know it's short. They both got hired last summer and last fall.

Ugh. Well republic wasn't an option due to an email I got saying they weren't taking people till 2020. Waiting that long wasn't an option at all. Then got an update last week saying they are doing interviews in July for oct/nov/Dec class dates. Which sounds a lot better.

All things being equal in regard to start date and the fact I would move to a junior base at both companies (CRJ-ORD at OO and PIT at YX). Would y’all be able to recommend on over the other for flight time/career advancement?

I don’t see one being significantly better than the other. You will probably upgrade quicker at OO but YX also seems to be upgrading a little over 2 years or so anyways. You will probably see a much greater variety of flying out of ORD as well simply because it’s a bigger base. I’d personal enjoy living in ORD a lot better than PIT but that’s up for you to decide.
