I read it as that is your pay per day. That’s it/everything, you get a room paid for and you get that $60/day. You get guarantee 75hr pay starting on day 31. Were you thinking you get more during training? Not making $ for the company yet so you really should not expect much. Doesn’t seem much different than other companies as far as this sort of pay.
Isn’t that less than drawing unemployment? (Did everyone else already know this and I’m just the idiot that had no idea? It’s certainly possible/likely!) Not trying to be a smartass, honestly had no idea. |

My mistake/oversight, then, if that’s normal.

$60 per day is non taxed. Honestly, when MMG set in it really wasn't that much difference in pay after taxes.

By study room I meant the one in the hotel where group study takes place. Always annoys me when people ask "but what was his background". My class had a person from each of the generic paths to Part 121 wash out and also had people from both do real well.

What do people wash out for? Safety of flight, slow checklists, bad judgment, bad general knowledge, incorrect instrument procedures? Can anyone give examples of how people fell behind and washed out?
One person washed out because he couldn't keep up with the speed of 121 ops. The other person did because I assume he didn't put enough effort in. He was never in any group study. Of the 18 in my class, only 12 remain on the sonority list. So there are still 4 people who I have no clue what happened to. |

When someone washes out it is usually pretty hush hush. As a matter of fact, one person in my class didn't even know this particular person washed out until I told him out on the line a couple months later when I ran into him. The only reason I knew is that I just happen to be in the area when he was working with the admin lady on tickets to get home.

Don't know this guy, but he seems to have some solid info: https://michaelsoroka.com/category/flight-training/

Thanks for the input. Is training subjective or very objective? What was the hardest part of training for you? What was your background, if you don’t mind me asking? I know some people say it doesn’t matter, but I definitely think it does since different backgrounds probably have differing amounts of experience in different areas.
